The Simplest Agate Pattern Lets the Glass Do the Talking

A 1x1 square mosaic is almost a blank canvas—which is exactly why it works so well for Agate. The regular grid gives the eye a quiet structure while the handcrafted glass supplies the drama: flowing color, translucent and opaque layers, subtle surface variation, and the mineral-like banding that gives the collection its name. The result can feel calm from across the room and remarkably detailed up close.

This is the versatile Agate shape: easy to wrap around curves, comfortable in a small shower or niche, strong enough visually for a full feature wall, and especially at home in pools and spas where water and light amplify the depth in the glass.

Pearl or Silk Changes the Mood

Pearl reflects more light with a soft metallic shimmer, bringing color to the foreground. Silk has a matte etched surface that quiets the reflection and is preferred where the mosaic will see foot traffic. Every Agate color contains 70% post-consumer recycled glass, and the pieces are made in small batches so variation is an intentional part of the surface.

Agate 1x1 is suitable for backsplashes, bathroom and shower walls, steam showers, exterior walls, fireplace surrounds, and fully submerged pool, spa, and water-feature installations. With Silk and the correct assembly, the small-format mosaic can also be used on shower floors and light-residential interior floors.
